Temperatures are rising and flowers are blooming. It’s time to get out side and breathe a sigh of relief in the fresh air and natural beauty at Bernheim!
We are so thrilled to return to a jam packed calendar over the next month, including a few brand new programs and events.
Mark your calendars for April 9-10 for Restore: A Wellness Weekend at Bernheim. This two-day festival will focus on the healing powers of nature and self-care. Join us for guided hikes, mindful walks at the Edible Garden, family-friendly yoga, cooking demos and more! Some programs require registration.
We are also excited to announce the Run for the Planet – a 14-mile trail run through Bernheim’s beautiful millennium trail. Runners will traverse the knobs and creeks throughout this difficult trail. The race will take place on Saturday, April 23. Now through March 31 is early bird registration, so register now before the price increases on April 1.
We have also added the Playcosystem Happy Hour on April 1, so grown ups will have the chance to experience the natural play features and loose parts at Playcosystem. Refreshments including beer, wine, and tacos will be available for purchase. So come out and play!
Experience the emerging spring landscape with one of our many spring programs, from guided Trail Discovery Hikes to Wildflower Walks that follow the progression of emerging spring beauties, to enjoying nature’s tranquility during Walking Meditation, and more.
Kids and families can take a spring adventure on a Forest Homeschool Hike or at our regularly scheduled ECO Kids Discovery Days.
Bernheim is now open until 8 p.m., so there’s plenty of time to come out and explore on your own. In the next few weeks, be sure to look for all blooms big – in places like the magnolia and cherry collections – and small – with early spring wildflowers like harbinger of spring. Bring your camera, water, good shoes, and leave all of winter’s stress behind.
