Celebrate the intersection of art, science, and nature at CONNECT on Saturday August 24th from 6:23pm to 10:23pm!
Now in its eleventh year, CONNECT at Bernheim again will challenge minds and delight the senses.
Don’t miss the chance to see our Forest Giants in a Giant Forest lit up to glow under the night sky!
The night includes live musical performances, spontaneous art displays, and hands-on experiences for adults and families, including making art, hot air balloons, drum circle participation, and participatory science, not to mention, the mud play zone.
Don’t miss ReCONNECT – works of art created using recycled and repurposed materials, including the work of 2019 Regional Artist in Residences, Justin Roberts and Kathleen Lolley.
What goes better with music than food and beverage? This year’s CONNECT will again have regional craft beer from Mile Wide Beer Company in Louisville and West Sixth Brewing in Lexington and wine from Forest Edge Winery right here in Clermont! We will also have more food options than ever for your enjoyment.
As always, live music will be woven throughout the event. Let these artists delight your ears.
Sunset Amphitheater Stage (Main Stage)
Ben Sollee and the Hot Sauce Brass Band – Ben is an American cellist, singer-songwriter and composer. He will be playing alt Americana backed by The Hot Sauce Brass Band. This Louisville group plays second-line styled New Orleans traditional brass band street music featuring 90 Dancing Umbrellas (We will be giving away 90 multi-colored umbrellas on a first come, first served basis from the stage area just prior to the music set with Ben Sollee and the Hot Sauce Brass Band. We ask that if you receive an umbrella you spend some of your evening dancing with it in front of the main stage to the music.)
Kentucky Cowhands – A traditional honkeytonk power trio, playing traditional honkytonk standards.
Opal Fly and Kapow – A female let rock trio, who will be performing original material as well as traditional jazz/funk music.
