Virtual Visitor Center

By Amy Joseph Landon

Welcome to Bernheim!

Bernheim is working to do our part to help “flatten the curve” of the spread of Covid-19, which means we’ve closed some our our buildings and cancelled programs, but we’re still open for your dose of fresh air, sunshine, and outdoor exploration – with 16,000+ acres, there’s plenty of room for social distancing. But we are still here to connect people with nature. If you want to come visit Bernheim (or find some nature activities to do at home), this is your contact-free one stop shop.

So you want to visit Bernheim
We’re open daily, 7 a.m.- 8 p.m.

Admission is a $10 per car recommended donation. Members are free. Click here to become a member.

We have a small information booth at the front entrance of the Visitor Center, but the rest of the building is closed.

Restrooms are open at the Visitor Center with outside access only and at the Education Center silos.

We have 40+ miles of hiking trails to explore.

Especially when visiting the Forest Giants, please remain at least 6 feet away from other visitors.

Have your kids with you? We have activities for you to do while you’re here – they can also be adapted to do at home.

Help us slow the spread of Coronavirus

Please do your part to help stop the spread of germs at Bernheim (and everywhere)

At Bernheim, we are following CDC guidelines and implementing additional cleaning measures throughout.

Remember: one of the best things you can do is minimize contact with others.

  • Remain at least 6 feet away from others.
  • Avoid gatherings of 10 or more people.

While visiting Bernheim, we hope you will take in the beauty, peace, and healing of spring’s arrival.  Take care of yourselves, your families, and each other, and enjoy your visit!

Feel free to call us at (502) 955-8512 with any questions.
