Spend a fall night camping at Bernheim

By bernheim

Experiencing Bernheim at any time of day is joyful, but there is something truly special about the calm and wonder of darkness overnight! Though we do not generally allow camping at Bernheim, we are offering our members the rare opportunity to make beautiful memories under the forest’s peak autumn colors at the Fall Camp-In on October 20.

This fall celebration will include stargazing, s’mores over a bonfire, naturalist-led activities, fall leaf crafts, and NEW for this camping adventure – kayaking on Lake Nevin!  Kayaks are provided by Yak City Kayaks and are $15 each. You can register for kayak upon registration for the Camp-in. Volunteer Naturalists will also be on-site leading different guided hikes and Discovery Stations. Registration just opened yesterday, but be sure to secure your spot soon! CLICK HERE for registration information and instructions.

Not a member? You’re in luck! Beginning September 23 (through October 31), use the code FOREST23 to join, and you’ll automatically get access to register for the Camp-in.

Membership has so many benefits beyond the Camp-in, too! You’ll get reciprocal benefits at 300+ other gardens and arboreta throughout North America, discounts to programs and events at Bernheim (including Camp Bernheim), free admission year-round, and, of course, your gift helps support Bernheim’s mission of connecting people with nature.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our Membership Department via email or by calling (502) 215-7155, or stop by the Membership Desk, located inside the Visitor Center and open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily.

Thank you for your support of Bernheim! We’ll see you under the autumn sky in October!
