NOW in fall! Members can experience Bernheim like never before at our Member Adventure: Fall Camp-In – a night of s’mores-over a bonfire, campfire songs, fall-themed art activity, and naturalist-led activities. Bring your tents, chairs, blankets, and acoustic instruments for an unforgettable night at Bernheim! New this fall: Yak City Kayaks will be joining us at the Camp-In! A limited number of kayaks will be available for use on Lake Nevin.
Registration for kayak rental is separate from Camp-In registration. Scroll to the bottom of the page for details.
The campout will start at 5 p.m. on October 20 and run until 9 a.m. on October 21. The cost is $25 for adults. Children are $15 (12 and under). Each ticket includes one drink ticket, which can be redeemed for beer or non-alcoholic options. Big Moe’s BBQ will be on-site with chili, soup (vegan option!), and BBQ. Each camper will be given one s’mores kit. Volunteer Naturalists will be on-site leading different activities for the whole family such as evening and night hikes and Discovery Stations.
If you are not yet a Bernheim member, there is no time like now to join and register for this rare opportunity to see Bernheim overnight.
Registration will open September 20.
This event is weather permitting, and will be rescheduled to Saturday, October 21 in case of inclement weather.
Primitive campsites will be available with portable restrooms and drinking water. No electricity plugins will be available on site. This is a family-friendly event. We kindly request that all attendees are respectful of their neighbors for the duration of the event.
Dogs must be on a leash for the entirety of the Camp-in, unless they’re inside a zipped tent. In addition, any dog that is aggressive towards other dogs and/or campers or creates a nuisance will be asked to leave.
Before registering, please note that campers will not be permitted to leave Bernheim between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m except in the case of an emergency.
***Important registration note: in order to confirm that you are a current Bernheim member when registering for this member-only event, you will have to either “sign in” or “register” for a new account online (using the same name and billing address that we have associated with your membership).
