Shout out to our Forest Heroes! You did it!

You did it! We did it!

Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest has some amazing heroes! We are grateful for those who donated to our Big Forests Need Big Heroes campaign. Over the course of the campaign, we raised $52,703 to support our work within and beyond our forest borders.

Because of Bernheim heroes, our 15,625 acres forest will continue to be protected. Every year across Kentucky, it is estimated that 50,000 acres of land are lost to development. All of Bernheim’s 3 million-plus trees are protected from development and act as powerful lungs for our region, producing over 780 million pounds of oxygen annually. Our forest is also home to more than 2,100 unique species. Thanks to heroes like you, we can continue to protect critical wildlife habitat, including that of the monarch butterflies and the Big Brown Bat.

Bernheim is 100% donor and member supported. We are grateful for heroes who support our mission of connecting people with nature.

Thanks to all of our Forest Heroes!   If you missed out, it’s never too late to be a hero.  Click here to donate.
