What’s new this year? CONNECTglow and CONNECTfilm
Could you create a light sculpture without the use of generator or AC power? CONNECTglow is the new light-sculpture challenge this year. Artists, creative individuals and groups interested in trying must complete a CONNECTglow participation form and submit it to Bernheim by 8:24 PM August 12. This will be a juried process with the top artist or group receiving $1,000 and $500 for the second prize.
CONNECTfilm will be a collection of nature and science video shorts that will showcase continuously during the evening. In addition, environmental video and sound artist Ryan Evans will be performing from the film area. Ryan’s work infuses electronic music compositions with nature videos.
Artists interested in participating in any aspect of CONNECT should visit the Bernheim website and complete the participation form.
