Come CONNECT @ Bernheim

By Amy Joseph Landon

CONNECT 13 - 62CONNECT at Bernheim is just a day away. The annual celebration of all that is possible when art, nature and science intersect takes place tomorrow — August 23 from 6:24 p.m. to 10:24 p.m.

In its sixth year, CONNECT at Bernheim will challenge your mind and delight your senses. Artists will set up around Lake Nevin with funky, fun and spontaneous art displays and demonstrations.

This year’s art demonstrations will also include participants in CONNECTglow, a sculpture challenge in which participants create light sculptures without the use of a generator or AC power. This will be a juried process with the top artist receiving $1,000 and $500 for the second prize.

And three great bands are slated to entertain the crowd. Bill Goat Strut Revue, Appalatin, and headliner, Bonnie “Prince” Billy will perform at Bernheim’s Sunset Amphitheater.  Check back at bernheim.org for news about a very special guest artist who will be joining Applatin.

You can bring the family, make it a date night, how about a girls’ night out? At just $5 a person for members and $10 for non-members, don’t pass it up. Enjoy the beer, food, art, music and fun. Come and CONNECT at Bernheim!

A special thanks to our generous sponsors who help make CONNECT at Bernheim possible – Wilson & Muir Bank, Beam and WFPK, 91.9 FM.

*$5 for Children ages 2-12, Children under 2 are free.
