Bernheim has a tradition of research dating back to the 1930s. At Bernheim, we continue to seek the input and research of scientists in applying ecology to our management and investigating the status of our biodiversity. By utilizing a diverse group of researchers across disciplines, we are facilitating the development of knowledge across a spectrum and fostering partnerships within the scientific community.
Research Projects
Take a look at some of our ongoing research projects.
Phenology
Phenology is the study of seasons and climates. At Bernheim, we keep our eye on some of these details to see how our ecology is shifting.
Bird Research
Bernheim’s stewardship work has included protecting bird populations, including bird surveys and counts, golden eagle research and tracking, the reintroduction of quail and turkey, and songbird tracking in collaboration with Motus Wildlife Tracking System.
