Hanah Carter started volunteering as one of Bernheim’s Naturalist Assistants in 2018. The next year, she entered our advanced training program and joined our Volunteer Naturalist team. The program is rigorous and demanding, but Hanah’s humor, commitment, and curiosity have added delight to the exploration of nature for hundreds of visitors and fellow Naturalists. In a great class of Volunteer Naturalists, Hanah has been a standout! You will often find her at our ECO Kids Discovery Days and other events, engaging visitors with her enthusiasm and delight of creatures large and small. She especially enjoys showcasing an observation hive of honeybees at these events. Congratulations Hanah, on receiving the 2019 New Volunteer Naturalist Award!
