The Nature of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Nature is significant in many of William Shakespeare’s plays. Perhaps the most famously connected is A Midsummer Night’s Dream, wherein nearly forty species of flora are mentioned throughout the duration of this iconic comedy.  

This program will lead you through Bernheim’s Edible Garden and the nearby Nursery Loop Trail, allowing participants to observe and learn about some of Shakespeare’s plants and the wondrous wild world of the woods. 

Kentucky Shakespeare, Shakespeare in the Parks presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Play begins at 2 p.m. at Event Pavilion.

Bernheim members $10; Non-members $15 

Registration required by 4 p.m. the day prior to the program. No pets, please.
