Summer Menu Addition: Isaac’s Café Special, June 11, 2018

By Bernheim

If you have been following Harper’s Journey from his winter home right here at Bernheim to his summer home in northern Canada, you know the importance of protecting the ever disappearing habitat that these majestic birds need.   If you’re not familiar, let me introduce you!  Harper is a golden eagle that we have been keeping tabs on, by way of a transmitter.  You can follow his journey as we chart his course from his summer home in Canada, right back here to his winter home in Bernheim’s large forest expanse.

With 2018 marking the 100th anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Isaac’s Café has officially named our newest sandwich “The Harper”!  You’ll find this sandwich takes you on a journey from Harper’s southern stomping (or flying) grounds with a delicious house made pimento cheese using Kenny’s Farmhouse cheeses to Canada (with a little Kentucky tossed in there as well) with a unique maple bourbon onion jam!  There is a taste of Canada and Bernheim in every bite.  This one of a kind sandwich is served on wheatberry bread and dressed with fresh garden greens and Pop’s Pepper Patch pickles.

Our Meatless Monday special is The Harper served with chips and a self-serve drink for just $6.95!

Be sure to check out our full summer menu when you stop by.
