Give for Good Louisville is back for its fifth year! Sponsored by the Community Foundation of Louisville, Give for Good Louisville is the biggest day of local giving. The 24 hour event was created to inspire people to give generously to the nonprofits that make our community a better, more vital place to live. In 2017, $4.6 million was raised for over 600 non-profits, and hopes to top $5 million this year. Bernheim was thrilled to raise over $58,000 in 2017 and we hope to increase that amount in 2017. The money raised will help our efforts to keep our forest pristine, protecting millions of trees. The trees found within Bernheim’s 15,625 acres provide powerful lungs for the greater Louisville region, providing upwards of 780 million pounds of oxygen annually, creating clean air for area residents and helping to offset the urban heat island effect currently plaguing Louisville.
Donating online at giveforgoodlouisville.org on September 13, 2018 is a great way to maximize your gift to Bernheim. Thanks to the generosity of Bernheim supporters, we will have a $25,000 match fund, so your gift will have double the impact. In addition, the money raised on that day is eligible for prizes and bonus dollars courtesy of the Community Foundation. Of course there are benefits for donors as well – prize drawings will take place throughout the day.
