Wildflower Strolls Series Begins Next Week

A wildflower grows in the wild, meaning it was not intentionally seededNurseryLoop1404 - 33 or planted. With nearly 15,000 acres of land, Bernheim is full of thousands of these beauties. Spring is a great time to begin observing the wildflower from bud to blossom, and that is exactly what you can do in our newest Wildflower Stroll series.

Join Wren Smith, Bernheim Interpretive Programs Manager, for five consecutive Saturdays as we examine the growth of our wildflowers while strolling throughout the forest. Participants will hear engaging stories that focus on wildflower adaptation, ecology, folklore and history. 

The following strolls and dates are a part of the series:

The strolls will begin at the Visitor Center and last from 2 – 4 p.m. each day. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for the unpredictable spring weather. The cost is $10 for Bernheim members and $12 for non-members. Registration and payment are due by 4 p.m. on the day prior to start of the program by calling (502) 955-8512.
