What better way to welcome fall than under the stars at Bernheim? Join us for our first-ever Welcome Fall Overnight at Earth Measure this weekend from 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 19 until 7 a.m. on Sunday September 20. As the sizzling of summer gives way to the coolness of autumn, our Bernheim Volunteer Naturalists will help participants celebrate the gifts of both seasons. The Louisville Astronomical Society will be on hand and provide telescopes for viewing the highlights of the night sky.
Other nocturnal activities include an opportunity to learn more about our Earth Measure installation, a small bonfire and a drum circle open to other acoustic instruments and impromptu jamming.
All participants must register by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 18 by calling (505) 955-8512. The cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.
Chairs and blankets are recommended for viewing the cosmos and small tents can be set-up. Snacks and beverages are welcome, but alcohol, fires, and pets are strictly prohibited.
See you this weekend!
