Now through July 5, join Bernheim on a global journey . . . of trees. Through the traveling exhibit, Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat, Bernheim hopes to highlight the importance of trees to not just wildlife, but also to humans. We hope to inspire people to learn how they can make a difference in the plight of the trees, whether on a large scale, like Bernheim, or in their own back yards. Adjacent to the exhibit, Bernheim has a new trail highlighting Kentucky Trees of Concern, which features trees native to Kentucky, that aren’t endangered, but face challenges.
Join us on Saturday, April 2, 2016 as we celebrate the opening of this exhibit, and kick off our season-long celebration of trees.
You can start protecting trees that day! Bernheim’s horticulture team will be at the Visitor Center on April 2-3 answering your questions and finding the right tree for you. Take a baby tree home and watch it grow and become a part of the much needed tree canopy. Additionally, Join us at 2 p.m., as the ECO Kids Hike of the Day will venture through the Vanishing Acts and Kentucky Trees of Concern exhibits, where Ranger Whitney will introduce Vanishing Acts and share her love for trees.
