In December, we began our Healthy Forest, Healthy Lives campaign, asking all of you to help support our efforts to benefit the health and wellbeing of our community. Big forests, like Bernheim, have countless health benefits, from the clean air and water we provide to improving the mental and physical health of children through free play in nature.
You showed us you care about healthy forests – in a BIG way! We more than tripled our fundraising goal – raising $169,265 between December 1 and January 31.
Bernheim is grateful to everyone who donated to the Healthy Forest, Healthy Lives campaign to support our mission of connecting people with nature. A private, non-profit forest as big as Bernheim depends on our members and supporters to help us meet our budget and deliver our mission. Because of your generous donations, we will continue to protect our forest and all its trees that provide clean air, the streams that provide clean water, the natural beauty that relaxes the mind and body, and so much more.

Your gift helps us protect endangered species, provide hands-on nature-based education to over 10,000 children annually, provide free-play days to 2,000 children at Bernheim and beyond our borders, protect over 16,000 acres of pristine forest, and so much more!
