On March 26, 2020, Bernheim made the decision to close our gates to do our part in controlling the spread of COVID-19. This was not an easy decision for Bernheim, but we believed it was necessary to protect the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, staff, and community. Despite our temporary closure, we continued to deliver our mission, connecting people with nature by providing families with quality programs and nature-rich experiences virtually.
Being closed to the public due to COVID-19 meant a significant financial setback for Bernheim. In May, we asked for you to help by contributing to Bernheim’s Together for the Love of Nature campaign – and you exceeded our need! Bernheim hoped to raise $50,000 through the campaign but you answered our plea by generously donating $76,785 to Bernheim from May 15 to
July 15, 2020. Thank you!
Bernheim is grateful to everyone who contributed to the Together for the Love of Nature campaign and supported our mission, operations, and the stewardship of over 16,000 of acres of pristine forest. As private non-profit, Bernheim depends on our members and supporters like you, to help us deliver our critical mission. Your donations allow us to continue our ongoing efforts in land stewardship, protect endangered species, offer nature-based education, provide health benefits throughout the region, and so much more.
