On Saturday, September 11, Bernheim hosted the first annual Picnic in the Pines, a fundraiser that allowed families and friends to safely gather near Bernheim’s new 10-acre natural play area, Playcosystem and Spirit Nest, Bernheim’s newest large-scale art installation.
On a truly beautiful day, more than 250 attendees enjoyed lively conversations in nature, high-end picnic baskets, and live music by Billy Goat Strut Revue.
The picnic menu was created by local chef Kathy Cary, owner of Lily’s Bistro and presented by True North Catering. The delicious food was sourced locally where possible, and included herbs from Bernheim’s own Edible Garden.
