Children can dance the buggy boogie, go on an insect safari, taste a chocolate-covered cricket and make a new six or eight-legged friend of their own. They can even don a bug costume and join in the Parade of Bugs.

BugFest and the Fall Plant Sale run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors can browse Bernheim’s annual Fall Plant Sale which features Bernheim Select ™, a distinctive variety of plants propagated from Bernheim’s own collections, along with a varied selection of other unique trees, shrubs, grasses and perennial herbaceous plants. All plants are suitable for north central Kentucky growing. Plant sale proceeds benefit Bernheim, and memberships will be available. Look at the full list of plants here.

There is no cost to attend, but non-members are required to pay a $5 per car environmental fee at the gate.
