Join us for a Tree-rific Spring Break

treeClimb_CF11Looking for a fun way to spend time with the kids during Spring Break?  Then join us for a Tree-rific Spring Break week Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8.   In conjunction with the Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat exhibit, Bernheim will offer a week of daily drop-in activities and guided programs to celebrate trees and the forest ecosystem. Self-guided activities for exploring the exhibit and learning about trees will also be available.

Spring break activities are FREE and take place at Bernheim’s Visitor Center. Registration is not required for individuals or families, but groups of six or more should RSVP at least 48 hours in advance by contacting Whitney Wurzel at whitneyw@bernheim.org or (502) 955-8512.

Discovery Stations

11 A.M.-3 P.M.

Hands-on Discovery Stations, featuring a variety of plant, animal, and nature activities will be offered daily at the Visitor Center by Bernheim educators.

Fire Tower Tours

11 A.M.-3 P.M.

Join a Bernheim educator to discover the forest from a bird’s-eye-view atop the historic Fire Tower.

Guided Nature Hike

2-3 P.M.

Each afternoon, Bernheim educators will lead a guided hike beneath the budding forest canopy. Children of all ages are welcome to join, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
