Bernheim is thrilled to introduce a new program series with author, Bobbi Buchanan. Her guidance will inspire you to use nature as your guide for creativity.

Bobbi Buchanan is the author of Tiny Little Beauty, forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in June 2016, and Listen: Essays on Living the Good Life (Ginkgo Leaf Press, 2013). She is the founding editor of the journal New Southerner and co-founder of the Homegrown Art, Music & Spoken Word Show, an open-mic and arts exhibition series held bimonthly in Shepherdsville, KY. Bobbi’s work has been published in The New York TimesThe Louisville ReviewSojournersBrain Child Magazine, and other publications. She teaches creative writing to inmates at the Bullitt County Detention Center as part of Color Your City’s Art for Inmates in Recovery Program, which focus on using the arts as a means of rehabilitating substance-abuse offenders.

Whether you’re a seasoned writer or a beginner, join us for two program opportunities where Bobbi will help jumpstart your imagination. The first program, Nature as Muse: Writing Workshop and Discussion on Saturday, July 2, 2016, 7 – 8:30 p.m. is a free interactive exercise to help unlock your creative potential.

Looking for something more in depth? Join in the Hike & Write Series, an 8 week long program, geared toward finding inspiration for creative projects through experiences in nature. The series meets on Thursdays, Thursday, July 7 – Thursday August 25, 2016, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
