Earth Day Every Day: Isaac’s Café Specials April 18-22, 2016

By Kathy Hart

4-18-16 SpecialThis week marks a very special milestone for the environmental movement.  April 22 is, as many of you know, Earth Day.  Senator Gaylord Nelson, the founder of Earth Day, knew the importance of protecting and preserving our environment for future generations.  The grassroots movement that he began as a teach-in, became a groundswell of activism that is still alive and well today.  Isaac Bernheim had the same philosophy.  He understood that land, if properly cared for, had the inherent capacity to recover. Our Vision statement adopted by the Bernheim Board of Trustees in 2010, perfectly sums up this message. Bernheim will be a nationally treasured leader in ecological stewardship that inspires the exploration of our deep connections with nature.”

At Isaac’s Café, we celebrate Earth Day every day by providing local, sustainable food, harvested just steps away in our Edible Garden.  So come on out, enjoy the beauty of spring, have a delicious meal and begin your own Earth Day tradition by connecting with nature.

Weekly lunch special:  A cup of fresh made soup and spring strawberry salad with our house made strawberry vinaigrette dressing. $5.95
