December has arrived, and we all know what that means. It’s almost time for our Bernheim Holiday Open House and some amazing holiday finds. The open house will be held on Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

We continue to spotlight our local artists with Susan Crumb-Cox (Kentucky Christmas) and her beautiful line of ornaments in the shape of Kentucky as well as leaves from our state tree, the tulip poplar. Susan says she paints what she sees around her — “the landscape of central Kentucky or interesting objects on my front porch. While my subjects are traditional, my technique and color use are not. Blue trees, yellow skies, pink hills all have a place within my painting.”

For the foodie on your list (or as a treat for yourself), there is a new honey in town and it’s Kick!n. Kick’n Honey is small batch ” ‘sweet heat’ honey that’s more than just hot honey. It’s a flavor booster that’s great on just about anything roasted, baked, grilled, or fresh.” Samplers and gift boxes are available. Kick’n Honey is made by Spade and Table Farm, whose products you can also find on our menu at Isaac’s Café.
