On Saturday, August 2, 2014, Bernheim held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic. This annual event is a small way for us to thank the 150+ volunteers for all of their hard work.  Each department honored an outstanding volunteer and 38 volunteers were recognized for having served 100+ hours since summer, 2013 (a 9 volunteer increase). Read more about the awards given in the next issue of Bernheim’s quarterly newsletter, the forest echo.

If you’re interested in volunteering at Bernheim, you’re in luck! The next Orientation Training session is Thursday, August 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Education Center. We hope you will come to this short session to learn more about our volunteer program. Come and get your hands dirty.  Contact Bernheim’s volunteer coordinator, Amy Landon at 502-955-8512 or alandon@bernheim.org, for more information about volunteer opportunities and to sign up for the orientation training.
