Bask in the Fall Landscape while Volunteering at Bernheim

By Amy Joseph Landon

Volunteer Raking MulchYou already know Bernheim is a beautiful place to connect with nature, but did you know that you can help preserve our landscape for future generations while soaking up the sun and playing in the dirt? Volunteers are a vital part of helping us to fulfill our mission of connecting people with nature. As the air turns crisp and leaves start to fall, we will need even more help. There are several opportunities for you to get involved.

Attend our Volunteer Orientation Training on Saturday, September 27, 2014, 10:00 a.m. – Noon. Learn more about Bernheim’s mission and history and the various positions available for volunteers. Call Amy Joseph Landon at (502) 955-8512 x 262 to RSVP or with any questions you may have.

Don’t have the time to volunteer on a regular basis? No problem! We will need lots of help at ColorFest, our annual celebration of fall. Shifts are anywhere from 2-4 hours and range in activity from working in the mud pie kitchen or watching families play in the Hay Maze to greeting guests as they enter Bernheim. It’ s a great way to help Bernheim visitors have a great experience while being in the great outdoors. Stay tuned for details on how to sign up for ColorFest.
