The deadline for Bernheim’s 2018/2019 Artist in Residence program was January 14th and we are thrilled with the overall number, diversity of media and geographic range of this year’s pool of applicants. We received 155 submissions (!!) from 25 states and 31 countries including Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Thailand and Zambia! In addition, there was 22 regional artist applicants from Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
During the next few weeks, the staff will review the applications and a group of distinguished curators and art professionals of the region will help us in the selection process. Artist notifications will take place early March with results made public in mid-March. Stay tuned for the exciting results!
