My Bernheim Story: Shannon Kederis

By Jenny Zeller

When I first moved to Louisville in 1993, Bernheim Forest quickly became one of my favorite places.  My husband and I were married in the Quiet Garden in 2006.  We visit Bernheim several times a year to go hiking, to ride bikes or just to enjoy a picnic.   I like to come by myself to take pictures of the changing seasons or to feed the turtles.  At the end of the school year when seniors write good bye letters to their teachers, I always bring mine to Bernheim to reflect on another year and the students that left an impact on me.  I’ve traveled all over the world but my favorite place will always be Bernheim Forest.
