Ways to Join

• Online
  Click here to complete the online form, select your membership level, and submit your payment. A receipt will be sent to you via email.
• In-person
  Stop by our membership desk inside the Visitor Center, where our team is available to assist with membership enrollment or answer any questions. The desk is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• By Phone
  Contact the membership department at (502) 215-7155 for assistance with your membership application via phone.
• Monthly Sustaining Membership
  Support Bernheim year-round with a monthly sustaining membership. You can sign up by phone or in person at the Membership Desk in the Visitor Center, open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monthly sustaining memberships are not available for online purchase at this time.

Automatic Renewal

With automatic renewal, your membership is always up-to-date—your credit card will be charged once a year before your membership expires. Simply check the box for auto-renewal at checkout. Auto-renewing members save $5 on their membership by using the code AUTORENEW. With automatic renewal, you’ll always be a Bernheim member (and you can cancel at any time)

• What if my credit card expires or changes?
  If your credit card expires or changes, please contact Bernheim’s Membership Department by phone or email to update your payment information.
• How can I change or cancel my automatic renewal or monthly donation?
  You can change or cancel your auto-renewal or monthly donation at any time by reaching out to the Membership Desk by phone or email.

Monthly Sustaining Membership

Support Bernheim year-round with a monthly sustaining membership. A monthly donation of $6 or more provides all the benefits of a Household membership. Donate $10 or more each month and join our Orchid Level Giving Circles. As a Giving Circles member, you’ll enjoy full membership privileges and receive invitations to exclusive Bernheim experiences.

Monthly sustaining memberships can be purchased via phone or by visiting our Membership Desk in the Visitor Center, open daily 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Gift Membership

Any membership level can be gifted to someone special. Simply check the box “this membership is a gift” during online checkout.

Get into the holiday spirit with Bernheim! Each year, from mid-November to mid-December, we host a gift membership drive. During this time, memberships purchased as gifts come with an exclusive Bernheim gift created just for the occasion. Holiday gift memberships also include a new member welcome packet and greeting card.

Membership Cards

• Bernheim’s membership cards are made from 100% recycled material.
• New member cards are issued to members each year with an updated expiration date. Ensuring your card is up to date allows you to take advantage of the full member benefits, including free or reduced admission at 345+ reciprocal gardens and arboreta across North America.
• Each membership covers two named adults, 18 years or older, who live in the same household, and their children or grandchildren. Two membership cards will be issued for the named adults.
• Your membership cards will be mailed to you or available for pick-up at the Visitor Center during your next visit.
• Membership starts at the time of purchase, not when the cards are picked up.
• Our beautifully designed member cards feature a barcode containing individual membership information, ensuring free admission.
• Present your membership card at Bernheim’s Gift Shop or Isaac’s Café to enjoy your 10% member discount.

Upgrade Your Membership

If you’d like to upgrade your membership at any time during your current term, please contact our Membership Department via phone or email. Existing members only pay the difference between their current level and the upgrade level.

Contact Our Membership Desk

The Membership Desk, located just inside the front entrance of the Visitor Center, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for membership renewals, gift memberships, membership information, and membership card pickup.

Update Your Contact Information

Lost Card

If you lose your membership card, we would be happy to provide a replacement for active memberships. Contact us and we’ll take care of you!

*All Bernheim memberships are revocable licenses and can be revoked at any time in the sole discretion of Bernheim without refund in the event of any noncompliance with or violation of any organization rule or other term or condition of membership, or for any inappropriate conduct. Memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared persons and/or households except as specifically provided for per such membership category. Memberships are for personal use only. All membership sales are final and non-refundable. By becoming a member, you agree to adhere to the above membership terms and conditions and all organization rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all Bernheim staff and guests.
