Our amazing Volunteer Naturalists are ready to help you explore miles of Bernheim hiking trails and special areas. These longer guided hikes will introduce you to our wild and wondrous world and its hidden treasures. Although the time frame for each hike varies, your guides will help you find yourself in the forest at a pace that allows for rest as you discover the unique features each trail offers.

The time frame for this strenuous 7-mile hike is 5 hours. Your guides will be taking a slower pace which will allow participants to discover, discuss, and enjoy the unique features this trail has to offer. Spring wildflowers will be observed during this hike.

Water, sturdy treaded shoes, or hiking boots are required for this hike. Tennis shoes should not be worn since the trail has multiple steep sections, rough terrain, and could be slippery in spots.

Snacks or sack lunch and hiking sticks are recommended.
