“Welcome to Bernheim” – these words signal the beginning of an enjoyable day as you drive through the front gate, ready to experience 16,000+ acres of fresh air, natural beauty, and tranquility.  They seem to have even more meaning now, as we attempt to reconstruct our normal routine while considering the challenges that accompany COVID-19.

Please know that the safety and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and staff are always our first priority at Bernheim Forest. We understand the concern surrounding COVID-19 and have implemented measures recommended by the CDC and the Kentucky Department for Health to ensure our visitor experience continues to contribute to a high quality of life for the community.

In recognition of State Leadership’s guidance to practice responsible social distancing and not isolation, we understand that Bernheim serves as an appropriate place to relax, exercise, and re-energize.  We hope you will visit and take advantage of the health benefits nature can provide.
