Bernheim Welcomes Ellie Hodapp as Development Manager

Bernheim is thrilled to welcome Ellie Hodapp as Development Manager. Ellie will be working to secure grants, sponsorships, and other sources of funding.

As a lifelong nature lover, Ellie discovered Bernheim when she was in college and knew she wanted to get more involved. She became a Bernheim member as her occasional visits turned into weekly visits with her family and two dogs. She also volunteered with our Education team helping coordinate the Pollywog Play Parties (she has a special talent for arts & crafts) when the program was in its infancy.

Ellie graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Art History & Studio Art (hence her gift for crafting) and a minor in Marketing. She has her Master’s degree in Communications from Bellarmine University in Louisville. Her love of writing led her to several Marketing & Communications roles at Humana and Humana Pharmacy Solutions, and she was most recently a grant writer for all six KentuckyOne Health foundations.

On her hiring, she says, “I am so excited to be part of this organization and fully support and live the mission of connecting people with nature.”
