Virtual Discovery Station: Native Tree Series, Part 11 – Red Maple

Red Maple (Acer rubrum)




Red maple trees are prolific both in the Bernheim’s natural forest and in the maple collection near Arboretum Way, just down from our main gate. You can also find lovely specimens such as the one in this photo, near the entrance to Bernheim’s Bent Twig Trail.
