Bernheim’s Writers-in-Residence Program hosted two published authors this summer. Margaret Kimball and Christian Moody sought inspiration from our ecologically protected land and now you can hear the results.
Join us for a public reading of their work this Sunday, September 28 at 3pm at the Bernheim Visitors Center.
This event is free and open to the public, and the weekend parking fee will be waived for attendees. Please mention the reading at the gate.
Kimball is an assistant professor of illustration at Lesley University in Boston. Her work as appeared or is forthcoming in Black Warrior Review, Copper Nickel, South Loop Review, and Defunct. While at Bernheim, Kimball will examine the way the natural environment can feel like a primordial home and how memory is just not linked to place, but largely comprised of places.
Moody is also an assistant professor, teaching English at Centre College in Danville, Ky. His fiction has appeared in Best New American Voices, Best American Fantasy, Esquire, The Cincinnati Review and The 
Collagist. He has been in residence at Yaddo, and his work has been awarded a 2015 Al Smith Fellowship from the Kentucky Arts Council and fellowships from The Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts and Taft Center for the Humanities. He plans complete a fictional work during his time at Bernheim related to the intersections of the natural and human world.
