With the weather heating up, we’re keeping things extra chill at Bernheim’s signature café.
If it’s been a while since you’ve visited Isaac’s Café, make sure to stop in the next time you’re at Bernheim. Our new summer menu is designed to keep you cooled down and fueled up during your adventures around the forest.
Try our take on a classic vegetarian sandwich, the Breezy Caprese, featuring fresh, local heirloom tomatoes. We slice them to order, then stack those juicy beauties on a toasted ciabatta roll full of our house-made honey basil aioli. Next comes the cheese! Gooey mozzarella, balsamic glaze, and greens fresh from Bernheim’s educational nursery finish off this simple, summery sandwich.
Looking for something sweet? Check out the dessert case! Our talented baker stocks it with everything from strawberry cake pops to pistachio pudding cups, lemon bars to raspberry bundt cake, and so much more. The inventory is always changing, so come see what’s new and ready to satisfy your sweet tooth.
And of course, summer wouldn’t be summer without ice cream. The freezer is full of classic vanilla and chocolate, plus a rotating featured flavor chosen by our head chef, then custom-made locally. We even have a dairy-free sorbet option!
Special Event: Evening at Isaac’s on Sept. 26
Finally, we’re also getting ready for our quarterly donor dinner, Evening at Isaac’s. Coming up on Saturday, September 26, this special night’s theme is the harvest moon. Evening at Isaac’s will feature a full menu crafted and lovingly prepared by our head chef and cafe staff, as well as an educational presentation on foraging from Bernheim’s education department.
