As we approach our annual Rock Swap and Lithic Art Show this Saturday, we do so with a heavy heart. Bernheim lost a great friend over the holidays in Dale Farris. For ten years, Dale has been instrumental in bringing us the Rock Swap and Lithic Art Show, and while it won’t be the same without him, we invite everyone to come out. Dale’s stepson, Justin Eldridge, is leading the event and will carry on the great tradition that Dale started with us.
Interact with rock enthusiasts and artisans from the region as they demonstrate the process of flint knapping on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Flint knapping is a lost art people once practiced in ancient times to make tools and weapons. Modern replicas and pre-historic artifacts will be on display for sale or trade, as well as other primitive arts and crafts. This event is free with admission to Bernheim.
We hope to see you Saturday as we celebrate Dale’s life at our Rock Swap and Lithic Art Show.
