Thank You for Powering Bernheim’s KY Gives Day Success
Hosted by the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, KY Gives Day is an annual day of giving where Kentuckians come together and support causes and nonprofits they care about. More than 300 organizations participated this year and on May 12 nearly $900,000 was donated to charities by 4,073 individual donors across Kentucky and beyond.
Because of the generosity of our community and the incredible leadership of our matching gift partners, KY Gives Day was a wonderful success for Bernheim Forest and Arboretum.
We extend our deepest thanks to our matching gift providers Keith Monument of Elizabethtown and Valley Station and the Bernheim Board of Trustees. Their commitment inspired generosity, doubled donor impact, and motivated supporters across the region to invest in Bernheim’s mission. Matching gifts didn’t just stretch donations, they galvanized our community.
Thanks to this collective effort, together we:
- Raised $20,405 in support of Bernheim on this special day of giving
- Welcomed 102 donors, including 18 first-time supporters
- Strengthened our ability to care for the forest, support arts in nature, advance environmental education, facilitate best practices in horticulture, and fulfill our mission of connecting people with nature.
This success belongs to all of us: donors, volunteers including our Board of Trustees, corporate partners, and everyone who believes in protecting and sustaining Bernheim Forest and nature throughout this region. We are profoundly grateful and excited for what this momentum makes possible.
