A whimsical clothesline hung amongst the trees, a large-scale interactive clothes hanger, water tanks, and informative signage all contribute to the Bernheim designed L+A+N+D experience entitled ‘At Least We Looked Good’, which addresses the ecological and social impact of the Fast Fashion industry.
Fast Fashion is inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends. The negative environmental and social impacts of fast fashion are largely hidden. This experience dives into the amount of resources and environmental consequences of the fashion industry’s pursuit of profit through the creation and supply of garments to meet ever changing fashion and micro-trends.
Both fun and informative, ‘At Least We Looked Good’ provokes ideas about how we as individuals can be part of the solution in addressing ecological issues surrounding the fast fashion industry.
L+A+N+D (Landscape + Art + Nature + Design) celebrates innovative design concepts for immersive outdoor installations on a grand scale that spark imaginations, conversations, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world. Designed and constructed by artists, architects, landscape architects, and designers, L+A+N+D installations address humans’ connection to nature, beauty in the landscape, biodiversity, conservation, sustainability, climate change, and climate justice.
