Nature-based Education Intern

By Whitney Wurzel

Bernheim’s mission is connecting people with nature, and Bernheim’s education department helps facilitate those important connections for more than 270,000 visitors annually through innovative programs, nature-based activities, and creative messaging.

Using Bernheim’s rich landscape of woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands as grounds for discovery, Bernheim educators bring to life the stories and cycles of nature through first-hand experiences for children, families, and adults. From exploring creek beds, to observing plants and animals, or making connections between art and science, these experiences do more than teach visitors – they enhance our relationship with the natural world and inspire us to be effective stewards of the environment.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, like-minded intern to join our education team this summer. The position entails a 40 hour work week (Tuesday through Saturday), and provides the opportunity to work in a beautiful, rewarding setting where you can make a meaningful difference for people and our planet.
