My Bernheim Story: Julia Christensen

By Bernheim

Julia Christensen and Kristian Campana’s Quiet Garden wedding ceremony, October 24, 2011.

Christensen-Campana Wedding

I grew up in Bardstown, visiting Bernheim Forest all the time for hikes, picnics, etc. When my husband and I got married, we chose to have the ceremony at the Quiet Garden in Bernheim. It was a stunning fall day, October 24, 2011. Weeks before, my family threw a “Tree Shower,” and everyone gave donations to adopt a tree at Bernheim in commemoration of our marriage. The plaque in front of the tree reads, “In honor of the marriage of Julia Christensen and Kristian Campana, given by their families.” It is so special to now have a “wedding tree” at Bernheim, in celebration of that beautiful day.
