Created during his 2014 residency, Photosynthesis by South Korean artist Myung Gyun You reflects his ongoing exploration of the balance between natural systems and human society. Constructed from layered wood and industrial materials, the sculpture evokes the unseen forces that connect life on both micro and macro levels—from molecules and cells to the expansive rhythms of the universe. The work invites viewers to consider how all living things are intertwined through scientific, structural, and spiritual patterns.

Location: Installed outdoors in front of the Visitor Center.
