Through the generosity of a Curator Travel Grant from the Great Meadows Foundation, Bernheim’s Arts in Nature Curator Jenny Zeller recently traveled to Montreal and Quebec for meetings with eco-artists, art curators, and leading professionals of world-class organizations promoting the natural world and environmental issues through exhibitions, residencies and large-scale art installations in public garden spaces. This trip furthered Jenny’s passion for art and environmentalism, provided the opportunity to represent and promote the Kentucky arts community far beyond this region, and provided her with insight and motivation for elevating the arts programming at Bernheim. The experience directly supported the research development of Bernheim’s next big art experience and the implementation of the recently launched Environmental Artist in Residence, contributing to a stronger and more dynamic arts community in the state.
