School is back in session this month. That means it is time to start thinking about fall field trips. If your child or grandchild’s teacher is looking for a unique, hands-on learning experience, let them know that Bernheim offers nature-based programs students of all ages.
Throughout the year more than 10,000 children participate in field trips at Bernheim, exploring and discovering the natural world. Our expert nature-based educators develop specially designed curriculum that incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). Our 15,625-acre outdoor classroom makes learning both experiential and immersive.
Bernheim’s vast woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands serve as hands-on learning landscapes. Whether young explorers venture through the forest on a nature hike or search for aquatic wildlife at Wilson Creek, our Bernheim educators encourage them to discover the stories, systems, and wonder of nature through direct experience.
