Trail Discovery Hike: Wilson Creek Backcountry

October 27 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Discover Bernheim’s Wilson Creek area with Volunteer Naturalists on a unique combination of hiking and van tour. Explore highlights such as the Bean House, the Wilson Creek restoration area, a beaver lodge, four creek fords, an old swimming hole, a future wetland area, and a hike through a large cane break, all while traveling Bernheim’s gravel backroads. This adventure includes approximately 2 miles of walking on moderately easy terrain, in areas that are only accessible with a guide.

Please bring water for the hike. Sturdy treaded shoes or hiking boots, along with hiking sticks, are recommended. A sack lunch or snacks is also suggested. Tennis shoes are not recommended as the trail may be slippery in some areas.

Bernheim members $15; Non-members $20

Registration required by 4 p.m. the day prior to the program. No pets, please. Call (502) 215-7155 to register or click the button below to register.
