Member Adventure: Fall Camp-In

This fall, members will experience Bernheim at night during our 2nd annual Member Adventure: Fall Camp-In – a night of s’mores over a bonfire, guided night hikes, and all the amenities you need for a laid-back camping experience! Bring your tents, chairs, blankets, and flashlights for an unforgettable autumn night at Bernheim!
The campout will start at 3 p.m. on October 5 and run until 10 a.m. on October 6. This event is weather permitting and will be rescheduled to Saturday, October 19 in case of inclement weather.
A food truck will be on-site for hungry campers, alongside offerings from Gallant Fox Brewery and other beverages for sale. A portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting Bernheim’s mission.
Tentative activities schedule
- 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Kayaks available for rental in 1-hour time slots as part of our daytime Member Adventure: Kayaking Day (separate registration, Click here for details)
- 3 p.m.: Check-in table opens, campers can start pitching tents
- 3 p.m.: Craft table, decorate your own grocery tote!
- 6 p.m.: naturalist-led evening and after-dark hikes
- 7 p.m.: Campfire and s’mores (1 kit per camper)
If you are not yet a Bernheim member, there is no time like now to join and register for this rare opportunity to see Bernheim overnight.
Primitive campsites will be available with portable restrooms and drinking water. No electricity plugins will be available on site. This is a family-friendly event. We kindly request that all attendees be respectful of their neighbors for the duration of the event. No outside alcohol will be permitted.
Dogs must be on a leash for the entirety of the Camp-in unless they’re inside a zipped tent. In addition, any dog that is aggressive towards other dogs and/or campers or creates a nuisance will be asked to leave.
Before registering, please note that campers will not be permitted to leave Bernheim between 10 pm and 7 am except in the case of emergencies.
During registration, please indicate if you need accessibility assistance for limited mobility. We will have campsites available adjacent to parking areas and some located closer to restroom facilities.
