Discover Bernheim’s backcountry on an exciting hike and van tour led by Volunteer Naturalists. Explore remote areas of the forest’s south block, including Indian Grave Ridge, Eagle Ridge, the Bean House, the Wilson Creek restoration area, and a future wetland site, all while traveling along Bernheim’s gravel backroads. This adventure includes approximately 1 mile of walking on moderately easy terrain, taking you to parts of Bernheim only accessible with a guide.

For your safety and comfort, sturdy, treaded shoes or hiking boots are essential, and hiking sticks are highly recommended. Please avoid tennis shoes, as parts of the trail may be slippery.
