Electric vehicle drivers will soon have a place to recharge their batteries at Bernheim Forest. EVolve KY, Kentucky’s electric vehicle group, will unveil an electric vehicle charger capable of charging two cars at a special ceremony at the charger, located in the Visitor Center parking lot.

Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, the two leaders in ecological stewardship will be adding plants to the landscape to mark the occasion.

Bernheim staff  will follow the ceremony with a guided program and walk (depending on weather), Plugged into Sustainability, which will explore how has plugged into the current thinking on sustainability, as you tour the inside and outside of our LEED platinum certified Visitor Center. You can also visit the Edible Garden, to learn how Bernheim has amped up its movement towards regenerative design. Learn how Bernheim is using both the Visitor Center and the Edible Garden to create visitor experiences that promote more thoughtful living.

This is a free event; $5 per vehicle environmental impact still applies to non-members.
