Now’s your chance to learn about multiple opportunities to join Bernheim’s fun and welcoming team. Members of Bernheim staff will be on hand behind the Visitor Center on the path to Olmsted Pond to answer any questions about open positions.

Advancement Database Administrator
Bernheim is seeking a full-time (with benefits) position to manage Bernheim’s donor database to assist the Advancement team in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and communicating with donors and members. Applicants should be familiar with the Blackbaud Altru database.

Assistant Horticulturist
Bernheim is interested in providing a full-time (with benefits), entry level position to an individual who enjoys working and being outdoors. Ideally, this individual would be comfortable using a weed eater and zero-turn mower. A strong work ethic carries more weight than a college degree, although both are welcome. This position will work directly with our Horticulturists to assist with routine landscape maintenance.

Guest Services
Bernheim is seeking part-time and seasonal staff to work throughout the department in the Gift Shop, Isaac’s Café and the Front Kiosk. Previous experience in customer service, sales, and knowledge of Bernheim Forest and its sustainable initiatives is preferred. This position requires a professional appearance and an outgoing personality to represent Bernheim as the “first impression” to our visitors.

Horticulturist
Bernheim is interested in providing a full-time (with benefits) position to an individual that is passionate and knowledgeable about plants and enjoys working outside. This individual would also lead maintenance efforts on our green roofs in Louisville. If you are a self-starter, enjoy task-oriented projects, and have a strong work ethic (outside), then this is a career move you must make. A strong work ethic carries more weight than a college degree, although both are welcome.
