Explore Bernheim’s backcountry at night with Volunteer Naturalists, following a gravel forest road to a remote prairie. Enjoy a dark-sky experience with minimal light pollution, a guided astronomy discussion, and the chance to view stars and planets through a telescope. This hike takes you to areas of Bernheim that are only accessible with a guide.
For your safety and comfort, sturdy, treaded shoes or hiking boots are essential, and hiking sticks are highly recommended. Please avoid tennis shoes, as parts of the trail may be slippery.
