Day Sixteen

LITTLE NIS – When I’m out romping through the woods, it can be fun to have a secret place just for me. I’ll build forts to hide out in, and fill them with natural things that I find special. You should build a fort in your backyard, on a trail, or even in your own house! Why do you like the spot you picked? What materials are you using to build your fort? What will be in your fort? Do you think anything may use your fort when you leave it? If you can’t build a full size fort, build a small replica of one.

MAMA LOUMARI – There are many types of homes out there. I enjoy looking for animal homes while outside. See if you can spot any animal homes around you. Look up in the trees, in the grass, under the rocks. Then, consider your own home. When you think of home, what do you picture? What smells come to mind? What sounds? What people? Any feelings, like a warm fire or snuggly blankets? How does your home compare to the home of the animals you saw?

LITTLE ELINA – Being a giant, not many trees will hold me, but I like to dream about what it would be like to build a treehouse. Why don’t you draw your dream treehouse? What type of tree would you build it in? How do you get up? How do you get down? What do you keep in  your treehouse? Do you have any animal visitors? Use your imagination! The sky is the limit!
